Independent Living Success Story
\
Independent Living individuals are former foster children who have aged out of the system. Often times they are still healing from past trauma while navigating their journey into adulthood. Often times they do not have a supportive family to lean on when the cruel realities of adulthood start to take place. That is were we come into play. Hope Hill provides education and services so that these young adults are better able to successfully transition into a life on their own.

IL Success Story:  One individual started came into the program suffering from addiction, she had previously been shot, suffered a past overdose inside her apartment and had been the victim of a home break in. With the assistance of Hope Hill provided case management services and therapy, she has been sober for over 2 years. She also currently works as a lead teacher at a daycare facility while going to school to become an early childhood education teacher. She has bought her own car and saved over $10,000 while in the program.

Employee of the Quarter

Employee of the quarter is Megan Davis. Megan is a therapist with Hope Hill and has recently taken on a lot of extra responsibilities. The employee of the quarter is nominated by their fellow staff and the final winner is selected by the executive team. Here is what one fellow staff had to say about Megan: "Megan is always going above and beyond to assist our youth. She is very passionate about advocating for these youth and getting them what they deserve. She even buys them things that they need with her own money." Thank you Megan for all you do. It's individuals like you that make our agency stand out!

Foster Care

Foster Family of the Quarter

Foster Family of the quarter goes to Bob and Jennifer Sheldon. Foster Families are nominated by Hope Hill staff. Here is what staff had to say about the Sheldon's: "They go above and beyond to advocate for the needs of the youth placed in their home. They also keep in contact with youth that have been discharged to provide them with extra support and assistance when needed. They are always willing to help out with respite when needed."

Congratulations to the Sheldon's!!
